We are now looking for a Product Development Leader to take on Head of DNEW supplier Management. The role is part of the Strategic Capability unit in DNEW.
The unit is responsible for the overall DNEW Workforce Strategies, i.e. the DNEW R&D Site strategy with regards to Region, Country and Site selection including activity placement from eco-system and geopolitics perspectives, R&D site investments and divestments, identifying and securing strategic R&D competencies, to secure the strategic and tactical usage and governance of Suppliers. The overall DNEW workforce forecast is handled in the unit and the identification and execution of needed changes to meet the product development requirements and/or financial frames in short, mid and long term. The unit also holds the Ericsson group responsibility for the overall R&D Site strategies, securing cross BA alignment.
Responsibilities:
• Driver of the DNEW level Supplier strategies in alignment with the DNEW Site strategies, PDUs and other units. The Supplier base is a significant share of the total DNEW R&D capacity
• Analyze and continuously keep a clear view of the short and long term DNEW needs of Suppliers and together with sourcing develop the supplier portfolio to meet the same
• The DNEW representative in the external and internal Vendor governance.
• Owner of the DNEW Supplier manager Ways Of Wowring and guidelines securing compliance to supplier governance and improving how DNEW units uses suppliers
• Drive Supplier Operational Excellence, measurements, targets and efficiencies and be the "Supplier KPI tool" owner for R&D (cross Business Areas and sourcing)
• Support the units within the DU in how to use suppliers and make best possible purchases with advanced business models based on incentives and efficiency
• Identify and manage major business changes and RFXs, as well as representing DNEW in various procurement boards
• Owner of the DNEW Supplier management network with PDU and unit representatives
• Drive method and tools changes to improve how DNEW uses and works with Suppliers, as well as driving requirements on internal/external tools/vendors
• Handle and support transfers of work between suppliers (and sites)
- As part of the group responsibility, the DNEW Supplier Manager owns and develops the Group R&D Site governance including the R&D Site boards and the appointment of R&D Site heads in alignment with the BA RD heads

Key Qualifications:
Engineering University degree, BSc/MSc or equivalent
10+ years wide Ericsson experience, preferably also international assignments
Management roles primarily in R&D and or PA. Market Units not necessary but seen as a merit
Thorough understanding of Networks portfolio and organization
High level of business acumen
Fluent in English
High level of integrity
High drive to deliver results
Excellent leadership, communication and presentation skills
Highest level of Ingenuity, though leadership and drive to develop new ways of working

It is important that the applicant has extensive knowledge about how R&D projects are executed and can understand the need of the R&D units. The role requires high level interaction with senior PDU and DU management with regards to both tactical and strategic issues.
