We want to make sure that we can give them the greatest experience possible and make their fishing dreams come true, no matter where they are in the world.We have over 8 million users all over the world who have logged over 6 million catches in our app. We're growing fast, which is why we're now looking for an experienced editor and content strategist to lead our new Content team as Head of Content.Our millions of user-generated catches, posts, and videos already make up the core of Fishbrain's "news feed" - but there's so much more to do on the content side. That's where you come in. Working with a full-stack product team, you'll shape how anglers discover and engage with all kinds of media within the app, on the web, and through various marketing channels including email and push. This includes researching, developing, and managing new sources for content like articles, blog posts, polls, surveys, multimedia, interviews, and more.While the emphasis of this role will start with our mobile product and driving user retention and engagement, you'll work closely with our marketing team to make sure our brand voice and content strategy is aligned across all user-facing communications.The ideal candidate has a background in editorial and content strategy for an online publication or digital product. Interest or experience in the outdoor industry or similar (fishing, hunting, sports and recreation) is a major advantage.This position is based in Stockholm, Sweden and reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.*Please submit your application in English*What you'll do:Create an editorial mission and vision for Fishbrain, and develop and implement editorial strategies to support that mission and vision through our multiple platforms.Establish a workflow for requesting, creating, editing, publishing, and retiring content. Work with the product team to implement the appropriate tech stack and data streams to support Fishbrain's content strategy.Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience for all channels of content.Constantly evaluate content performance and relevance for our audience, partners, and brand positioning.Manage a team of at least one copywriter to start, with plans to scale, including managing freelance writers.What we are fishing for:You have a background in editorial and content strategy for an online publication or digital product.You are creative and data-driven, adept at delivering ideas, content, and metrics.A self-starter who is able to take projects from strategy through execution with a high attention to detail.Interest or experience in the outdoor industry or similar (fishing, hunting, sports and recreation) is a major advantage.Native English speaker with extensive experience working with and/or in the US market.
