What's in it for you?
As the Head of Communications for EMEA, you will be leading a small team of professional communicators, tasked with the responsibility of setting the communications agenda for the region and ensure Volvo stories are consistently told across countries.
We work in close collaboration with our National Sales Companies (NSC) within EMEA as well as with the central corporate communications team, to ensure we speak in one voice and deliver excellence in executing our communication messages. You will report to the Head of EMEA Marketing and Communication.
What you'll do
• Responsible for leading and executing communications strategies across internal and external channels like PR, employee communications
• Linking central communications and market PR teams providing forward-planning information on upcoming communications and bringing the market and regional input on communication strategies developed by the central Communications team
• Ensuring market PR activity is delivered in line with central and regional priorities, business ambitions and the global editorial calendar
• Driving the internal communications agenda for the region and lead regular regional meetings with PR managers in the markets
• Represent EMEA and bring in the communications perspective to every campaign in the Marketing Communication Performance Board
Do you fit the profile?
You have prior experience in leadership roles, driving dialogue with multiple stakeholders and having managed crisis communications. Extensive experience in communications or related profession together with a background in business or automotive journalism is an advantage for this position
You also have:
• Experienced in writing complex communication strategies
• Experience in advising senior leaders in the organization in communication and PR activities
• Fluency in speaking and writing English
Who are you?
You are likely a news junkie with an attentive eye to news trends in the industry. You have experience in leading a team and seasoned at writing communications strategies. You have a strong ability of managing differences of opinions, finding a common ground.
