Develop test hardware such as Printed Circuit board assembly, cables and other electro-mechanical components and be part of development projects with focus on specifying, designing and verifying hardware required to test radio base station hardware. As a hard ware design engineer you are able to understand the impact of signal effect on circuit boards, and you also have the ability to understand the outcome of your work.
Main activities and responsibilities
• Work with improving and optimization of test solution with regards of stability and test time.
• Take part of systemization of test HW with regards of SW configuration and backward compatibility, with documentation of test system HW.
• The work includes a lot of contact with other Ericsson sites around the world and this requires traveling abroad.
Qualifications
• Master degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Education in design tool for designing electronics.
• Education in design tool for CAD of printed circuit board.
Requested Competence:
• RF HW design. Knowledge about how RF signals are attenuated, amplified, filtered and switched.
• DC/DC design.
• Digital design. Knowledge about how to achieve different functionality such as signal conditioning and I/O in HW.
• CAD layout. Knowledge about how to design a printed circuit board.
• Previous experience from working with designing electronics and CAD of printed circuit boards is desired.
