The Engineering organization within GTO has just gone through a transformation, with a set up mirroring GTT with product project ranges that have a clear responsibility for the financial KPIs connected to the project within. To support those teams and challenge us on improving those KPIs we are now setting up a RnD controller role to drive controlling of industrial RnD in Group Trucks
Job description:
The RnD controller will be a part of the RnD Decision Bodies within GTO. Expectation is not only to understand the financial impact of the product portfolio in GTO, but also supporting and challenging proactively on RnD, Investment and Running cost impact from the different projects. To have a good understanding of the portfolio you will work closely with the major project teams. This will help you and the Range manager to understand deviations vs actual, changes in estimate vs target and actions to be taken.
As part of the DVP process (Develop Product & Aftermarket Product Portfolio), with several other financial functions connected, you will not only secure a good cooperation with both local, regional and global controlling teams within GTO, but also the Range Controllers and the Project Manager Finance within GTT. The role is global, and will put high demand on communication skills.
Besides these business responsibilities you will have a clear process responsibility within the Business Controlling Team, securing standard and improvements in that process. You will also have responsibility when it comes to reporting and closing within your area.
Critical competencies:
The job will require energy and passion to drive for the necessary improvements in both projects and process, but also a respect for individuals when it comes to aligning different ways of working. This is a global business control function with several major interfaces. To be a strong communicator is required. Integrity and Courage is a must, as you are directly involved in decision and as the business controller of the team you are representing the shareholders interest.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience from Business Controlling and/or Project Management with a proven track record of taking action and driving for improvements.
• Experience from Major Industrial Project
• Experience from Product Cost Calculation
• Experience from working in both European and Asia environment
• University degree in Finance and/or Engineering
• Fluent in English is a must, other languages are an advantage
• Strong Microsoft Office competence
Group Trucks Operations encompasses all production of the Group's engines and transmissions as well as all production of Volvo, Renault, Mack and UD trucks. Group Trucks Operations also includes spare parts supplies to the Group's customers as well as logistics.
