You will work in a creative environment, in a section that is constantly looking for new challenges. Our mission is to develop systems and components in accordance with Volvo's standards and core values with focus on safety, quality and environment. Body Structure Section has a large network of contacts and works closely together with other technical areas. The assignments are complex and vary from concept development to introduction of a car model in production.

Main tasks

* Ensure that the group's resources are balanced and within given frames

* Ensure right development strategies both for the team members as for the upcoming technology

steps

* Develop and update the group's delivery in line with the Commodity Business Plan (CBP)

* Maintain and update processes and guidelines according to basic document, such as Design

Guidelines (DG, Technical Regulations (TR)

* Ensure that there are methods and knowledge to analyze and verify the requirements that are

addressed towards the system area

* Lead competitor analysis within the area

* Decide technical system solutions

Responsibilty

* Product responsibility "worldwide"
* Approve technical documents, through the signing of the CO
* Deliver quality assured system or subsystem solutions
* To develop the system / function over time against the identified needs (strategy/project)
* Work actively with lessons learned, drive continuous improvements
* Approve technology strategies

Qualifications

* Technical education, MSc, BSc or equivalent

* Good ability to mentor and lead teams

* Good Mechanical Structure knowledge

* Good complete vehicle knowledge

* Very good practical and theoretical knowledge within the the product development process

* Show respect for colleagues within and outside the group
