You will
Lead a team of highly skilled and experienced battery cell simulation engineers. The team is responsible for building a strong ESS and Cell simulation area as a part of the system design and integration throughout the lifecycle of the product. This work is being performed in close cooperation with the other Cell and ESS Teams globally. The team will continuously strengthen our modeling and simulation capabilities to secure a robust world-class ESS system.
The global cell modeling and simulation engineering networks will be led by your team and the team will prepare technical decisions from early concepts to improvements in current products. As manager for the Battery Cell Simulation Team, you will also be responsible for the cross-functional alignment around battery cell simulations in close cooperation with both internal and external stakeholders.

Together with your team, you will also be responsible for driving research and development activities with our university partners.
Skills:
Deep understanding of LIB cell simulation and modeling tools (COMSOL, Ansys, Star CCM+, Python, MATLAB, Simulink etc.)
Has been involved in empirical cell test skills to close the gap between simulated and experimental results having seen the full cycle battery development process from A to market
Effective in the development of components with complex system integration
Comfortable and well-versed working with OEM or battery cell supplier development processes
Effective leadership experience with an interest in developing your team members and continually improving your leadership approach
Effectively drive changes to grow the team's ability to excel in modeling, way of working and technical knowledge

You are also
Innovative and holds a MSc. in Physics, chemistry, Electro-chemistry, Material Science or similar education or equivalent experience, PhD is a merit
Proven experience and fluency with at least 6 years of experience in battery cell modeling and simulations within OEM, supplier product development, automotive or similar.
Truly engaged and committed cell simulation engineer. Interested to learn and expand your skills, particularly in the area of battery technology, emerging, and diverse approached
Agile and be able to see the big picture, identify the objectives, set priorities and support the teams and individuals by removing obstacles.
Result oriented and always looking for improvements in our way of working
Communicate effectively and an ability to address people and groups at different level in the organization
You also speak and write fluently in English.
