Aurobay is looking for a Group Manager to lead our R&D Prototype Center. You will lead this team into a future where we do not only provide ICE prototypes, but any powertrain prototypes required in the development process of new powertrain solutions. The team is responsible for coordinating the prototype engine build process, collecting incoming parts and components from suppliers, preparing components for engine build in pilot plant as well as storage and shipment of engines and components.
You will be part of the section Lab & Workshop which is responsible for building test objects and testing them in our laboratory. We consist of 4 groups: Calibration & Durability testing, Dynamic Emission & Climate Testing, Engine Workshop and Prototype Center.

What you'll do
As a Group Manager you will be part of the R&D Lab & Workshop management team. Your tasks will include to lead and distribute the daily work and plan upcoming work. You will develop the group including methods, processes and responsibilities as well as setting the strategic future direction. You will be responsible for the work environment, both the physical and the psychosocial. In addition, you will:
• Support and facilitate development of the co-workers.
• Communicate with stakeholders within the section and with the test object planners in the project organizations.
• Communicate and plan with pilot plant who assembles the prototype engines.
• Be a link to the local Skövde line organization. Collecting necessary information and communicating necessary needs to/from the group.
• Take on and help with team tasks when possible or required.
Qualifications and personality
We believe you have a university degree within engineering and/or solid experience from the automotive industry or similar. Previous work with prototypes, test objects or similar is beneficial.
You are a leader with passion for people and for the technology we develop. We see that you are structured and like to continuously improve current working processes. As a person, you are goal and result oriented, with a high level of engagement and a strong enthusiasm.
You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. Therefore, it is crucial to be good at cross-functional work and networking. You possess great communication skills, you are fluent in English and Swedish, both spoken and written.
You have a class B driving license valid in Sweden. You are expected to travel to Gothenburg with an approximate frequency of once every month. As we are an international company longer travels may occur.
