We are part of GM Powertrain, a global company with business in 17 countries and with over 50 000 employees. Today GM Powertrain Sweden has around 800 employees situated at three sites: controls-, engine development and engine production in Södertälje, integration, controls- and transmissions development in Trollhättan and production of manual gearboxes in Göteborg.
We need to extend our group responsible for performing laboratory test on engines and transmissions with a new test engineer. As a test engineer you are responsible for the software ( SW ) development in our Test Automation Systems ( TAS ).
Work description:
You will be working within the Test Facility group with development, production and maintenance of the TAS SW, which is used for controlling test cell equipments in both manual and automated test sequences. This also includes work with simulation, modeling, specification and set up of electrical interfaces, configurations and measurements. You will have a close cooperation with our test cell technicians/operators and also with our development engineers.
Your first and foremost responsibilities are the implementation of new test-methods and functionalities in the TAS SW. The software used is Puma Open, C++, .NET, RealTimeWorkshop and MatLab.
Qualifications:
You have a Bachelor or Master degree in either Mechatronic, Electrical engineering or equivalent experience, with a interest for process-equipment development.
You have knowledge in MatLab/Simulink and C++ or .NET applications.
Earlier programming skills with Puma Open systems and knowledge of CAN communication, real-time-systems or automated test software is beneficial. You are comfortable with using test measuring equipments, test instruments, voltmeters and oscilloscopes.
You are fluent in English both written and spoken. Knowledge in German and French is beneficial.
