The ImmunoDiagnostics Division (IDD) is looking to strengthen its Global Services Team with a Global Systems Specialist.
IDD develops, manufactures, and markets complete blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergy, asthma and autoimmune diseases. With 1,500 employees worldwide, IDD is the global leader in in vitro allergy testing and also the European leader in autoimmunity diagnostics. The allergy and autoimmunity product lines operate on a common instrument platform, Phadia Laboratory Systems, which supports both productivity and cost efficiencies in clinical laboratories around the world.
The Job
The Global System Specialist provides global 2nd line support by performing error investigations in order to minimize downtime thereby enabling world class support to IDD customers worldwide. This position includes global responsibility for System Support documentation, User and Application Specialist training, proactively driving resolution of upcoming issues to improve the Quality of Phadia Laboratory Systems.
Your Profile
• 7+ years' experience in IVD industry, both from vendor side and laboratory environment
• Very good experience in Field Service and Technical Support, with a track record of high customer satisfaction
• In-depth training experience from the areas of HW, SW and assays
• Strong competency and an interest in continuous learning in the areas of Computer, Software, Method, Immunology, Assay process, Chemistry and function of reagents
• Proven ability to navigate effectively in a matrix environment and display credibility in mentoring and forging solid, positive working relationships across the organization
• Must have good presentation skills as service/customer training and presenting at internal/external meetings is a requirement
• Demonstrates the Thermo Fisher values - Integrity, Intensity, Involvement and Innovation (The Four I's)
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills
• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required
• Ability to travel internationally up to 30%
Your Responsibilities
• Provide input on functionality and user friendliness to Development Projects and Launch Projects
• Represent Technical Service in Product Care meetings
• Provide direct 2nd line support for questions from customers and field personnel on phone or through visits on site
• Lead investigations for complex system issues and perform root-cause analysis
• Identify training and development needs for customers and Thermo Fisher staff implementing Training Programs for Users and Application Specialists
• Sustain continuous alignment with Sales, Global Marketing, RA/QA and R&D around customer requirements to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
• Drive functional and cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, R&D, RA/QA and Sales thin IDD and across Thermo Fisher worldwide
• Ensure that system documentation, support processes, are always up-to-date, including
o Field Notices, Troubleshooting Guides, Check Lists, Error Tree
o Customer support process from customer contact to CA/PA process
o Support tools
