The job
In this position, you make sure we have solid processes for sourcing, and you're responsible for gathering insights regarding options and competition, as well as developing a strong supplier base where you evaluate both current and new suppliers. You closely collaborate with our internal stakeholders to identify their requirements, and you balance this with safeguarding our Sandvik sourcing policies and frameworks as you create quotations, manage suppliers and close agreements. This include challenging old assumptions and actively working to keep us in the loop from the very beginning in various sourcing activities. You also look ahead at future sourcing needs and investigate what we need to improve to become even better.
In this job, your home office is in Sandviken.
Your skills and profile
We're looking for someone with junior experience from operational or strategic purchasing - preferably from working within the manufacturing industry - who is ready for the next step in your career. You're used to evaluating options, negotiating, closing deals and managing stakeholders. A degree in a relevant field of studies or a sourcing certificate is an advantage. Since you interact both locally and globally, you need excellent communication skills in English and Swedish.
Being structured and detailed, combined with a confident mind and a truly networking personality, are your keys to success in this role.
