We are now looking for a Global Solutions Sales Engineer to join the Smart City team within Industry Segment Solutions.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As a Global Solutions Sales Engineer you will have a key role in our newly formed Industry Solutions team together with a Global Solutions Manager and a Global Solutions Specialist. This team will together with business development and marketing drive market introduction, sales support, delivery, future development, and maintenance. These new initiatives will be instrumental in extending Axis product offering to deliver end-to-end solutions.

The solutions are primarily video analytics software, sourced from different technology partners, but can also include in-house developed applications and complementing components. Your first challenge will be a cutting edge facial recognition software sourced from an external partner.

Your daily work includes:

Support our sales regions as an expert in the whole life cycle of complex projects - from evaluations to final implementation
Assist with prioritization of opportunities and follow through of large and complex sales projects, actively contributing to the success of the projects
Work very closely with the regional sales engineers world wide - driving knowledge sharing and best practice within the global sales engineering network
Create and deliver trainings for key stake holders, internal and external
Bring market and end customer feedback into the Industry Segment Solutions team, influencing the future solutions development and improving the end customer experience
You will be placed in Lund and the position requires approximately 30-40 days of travelling a year.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a curious person with a technical interest and a natural system solution way of thinking. You have experience in taking your own decisions, are business oriented with a good understanding of the project sales cycle. You have excellent communication and networking skills and a good understanding of project sales. You are also fluent in written and oral English. You like documenting your findings and improving existing documentation. Good knowledge in other languages is considered a plus.

We also believe that you have:

Relevant (Bachelor's or Master's) degree or similar.
Several years of technical experience, preferably from the IT or security industry.
More than 3 years' experience within system engineering and at least some years with technical sales and customer relations.
THE INDUSTRY SEGMENT SOLUTIONS GROUP
The Industry Segment Solutions group is a new team, created to accelerate our solutions development for key target customer groups. The team is part of the 'Platform & Aftermarket Services' department within the R&D Software organization. The assignment comes from the global business development team for the industry segments within Global Sales. Focus is to plan, develop and manage new solutions to support our prioritized industry segment ambitions, primarily through OEMs but also through development of pre- or post-installed camera applications. The scope includes e.g. evaluation of new solutions, managing the solutions' life cycle, education & training, handling of complex support issues, driving proof of concepts, and active pre-sales support to the regions.
