hela Sverige The Global R&D Controller - Food Preservation is a senior Finance position. This role acts as Finance Business Partner to the Head of R&D - Food Preservation. He/she provides insights on the global R&D performance for the product line across all geographies. It is a key role to support the R&D journey and to drive Finance related change such as the implementation of IT solutions and processes to improve understanding of resource allocation and spending by project/location.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITES
• Drive R&D StratPlan and quarterly forecasting (18-months-rolling) with the goal of delivering total integrated spend view for the product line
Ø Define planning process of the product line to meet group overall timeline and delivery requirements by setting up data requirements and reporting structure in a reasonable granularity (balancing transparency with simplification)
Ø Provide clear guidance on process and templates to R&D functions
Ø Facilitate internal product line reviews as well as reviews with Business Areas
• Monthly tracking of R&D and related KPIs (financial and non-financial): analysis and commenting of performance as well as initiation of improvement actions
• Manage costs sharing of global R&D activities and projects
• Support of business case development and enhancement of project controlling activities
• Provide global guidance to BA R&D Controllers and ensure global integrated view on R&D activities
• Challenge status-quo processes with respect to standardization and automation using the 80/20 rule to improve efficiency
• Support finance transformation journey for R&D: leverage on service offering of Centre of Excellence to enable focus on business controlling. Support Project Portfolio Management implementation to provide transparency on resources allocation throughout the New Product Development cycle
QUALIFICATIONS
• Academic degree in Finance, business administration, economics or similar
• Proven track record in R&D controlling
• Solid experience on driving planning and reporting cycles
• Sense of urgency
• Strong analytical skills
• Capability to understand big picture but also ability to dig into details to find root causes and take actions
• Experience in leading a small team (preferably remotely)
• Business case development and financial modelling skills
• Strong business partner mindset
• Excellent communication skills and cross functional collaboration skills
• Excellence in MS Office (especially Excel)
• Fluency in English, additional languages are a merit
• Experience in SAP or Power BI are a plus
