Description of employment
Our customer is developing a new service for its dealers and customers and is therefore in need of a product manager. The assignment is about to start first of December and will last for a year.
The product manager is responsible for defining all aspects of a product, for ensuring the product plans are duly executed and that the product results in sustainable commercial success for itself and for the customers machines. The product manager achieves results both through his own initiatives and through influencing the wider organization.
The product manager will be:
• Responsible for gathering and analyzing key information through market analysis and benchmarks that will lead to the product success.
• Responsible for defining the product requirements (specifications, business case, pricing strategy) in close collaboration with the relevant stakeholders and entities across the organization.
• Ensure together with the Technology unit that the product is planned and developed according to the set objectives.
• Secure that changes are listed, evaluated and negotiated together with the relevant stakeholders across the organization.
• Responsible to provide content to the Global Marketing team to develop materials (like marketing material, training material) supporting service success.
• Collaborate with Global Competence Development team for sales and product training activities towards the regions and dealers/customers when relevant.
• Responsible for establishing service sales forecast, measuring deviations and creating relevant actions plans.
• Responsible to track and identify product defects and issues with support staff, take actions to solve issues and keep an efficient communication with the relevant entities across the organization.
You need to have higher degree in Engineering or Marketing fields, development or product management experience with innovative hi-tech products in the heavy equipment industry. You will also have understanding of the processes and key drivers in the construction, mining, survey or ag business, or understanding of mobile solutions and online job management platforms. You have experience to work in geographically diverse cross-functional teams. Your English is fluently in both spoken and written. Ability and willingness to travel extensively is required.
To succeed in the role you have excellent understanding of customer/dealer needs at the machine, site and business level and in translating them to enabled machine and site management solutions. Further you are analytical, a good communicator, self-confident and customer oriented. You are a self-starter and creative thinker who takes initiative.

Further you have a genuine and strong ability to inspire, develop and motivate individuals and teams across the organization. Your courage to take decisions and to communicate objectives with different stakeholders are strong. You have ability to deliver against set targets and a "can do" attitude and also have the ability to establish and develop relations with other units within the organization and partners and customers.
