In this role you will be responsible for a product portfolio of resins, technologies and various tools targeting the global market of research and process development of biopharmaceuticals. The products in this portfolio consist of resins and other adsorber technologies for small scale chromatographic purification of proteins and other biomolecules.
Essential Responsibilities:
To the same market GE Life Sciences also develops and markets various other products including chromatography systems and software solutions. It is crucial that the various product portfolios have a seamless match and provide full solutions addressing current and future needs in small scale purification. To be successful in this role it is important to secure thorough understanding of the workflows on this market and the complementary solutions provided by GE. It is critical that the person in this role takes a holistic approach to current and future opportunities for GE on this market, The success on this market is critical both for the development of future biopharmaceuticals but also for GE's position on the adjacent market for manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals.
The products in this portfolio are in all different stages of their respective product life cycles and there are several ongoing product development projects in this product segment. As product manager for this portfolio it is critical that you represent the customer interests inside GE, that you define the strategy for your product portfolio and that you lead the execution of this strategy.
Key aspects of responsibilities in this role include:
Commercial support: Support the sales team with necessary collateral to ensure their continued and improved success. Own the pricing strategy and its implementation for your product(s).
Business administration: Ensure product readiness for sale and use. Manage such things as product registration, labelling, legal and safety requirements, storage conditions, logistics, technical content of databases and after sales support.
Product Development: Recommend investment for product support and new product development. Drive the product management aspects of the product development process for new product introductions. Including, identifying customer requirements, build and adjust business cases, prepare coordinate and implement product launch plans.
Forecasting & Leadership: Provide revenue, profit and volume forecasts to internal stakeholders. Ensure targets for production cost, inventory levels and quality are met. Provide leadership to Quality, Sourcing and Supply Chain functions to ensure the portfolio retains and improves its position in these areas.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Life Sciences or Biotechnology (or equivalent knowledge/experience)
Previous experience from Product Management, Sales or R&D
Proven experience from the Life Science or related industry
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, plus experience of using these skills to lead, participate and influence cross-functional teams
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Interest in and experience of customer/market focused activities
Fluent in English, other languages is a plus
Some travel will be required
EU work permit

Strong skills in making right prioritization, for daily activities, communications and long term strategies
