Are you passionate about trucks and interested in contributing to the development of fuel and energy-efficient vehicles? We are seeking a Test Engineer to join our team at Hällered as a Test engineer. We are committed to diversity and inclusivity, and we encourage women engineers to apply. In this role, you will play a crucial part in testing and optimizing the fuel consumption performance of our trucks, ensuring that our vehicles are designed to be efficient, environmentally friendly, and cost-effective.

What do we do?

In this team we take lead for vehicle testing in terms of Fuel consumption, Energy Efficiency, Drivability, Air resistance (Air drag), Expedition lead and SW testing. Tests are performed both on Test track but also on public roads. Purpose is to verify that new technical solutions is proven to be better than today's production. The result is also a vital part in CO2 calculations. Our stakeholders are Feature leaders and other technical areas.

We also develop new Productivity test methods that will support electrical and autonomous vehicles development. We believe that the future consists of new technologies and this team is aiming to be in the front line.

What will you do?

As a member in our team, you are responsible and take lead:
Prepare and be a part of installation of test equipment before test.
Prepare vehicle before test.
Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including feature lead, mechanic and drivers before/during/after test.
Document test procedures, results, and findings accurately and comprehensively, and provide technical reports.
In continuity improve test methods, your own competence, and team spirit.

This work is a mix of practical and analytical tasks.

Who are you?
We hope you:
Are curious to improve and develop test methods.
Have some experience in testing and test equipment.
Have strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Generally interested in how things works.

We believe you have a bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering or a related field.
You have been working some years in automotive industry, maybe this will be the first or second job change in the career.

You are a good team player. We see collaboration as a corner stone in this Team. We believe that we are stronger together. With your curiosity and eager to learn you will be an important part of this team. Furthermore, it is important that you adapt on not expected changes. You have a positive mindset without prestige.

B driver's license is required.
If you have C / CE driver license it will be a plus, but not a requirement for this position.
