About this opportunity
We are recruiting a line manager for our FPGA design team based in Stockholm. The team is responsible to deliver key functionalities to different products targeting mainly the RAN Compute portfolio.

This new FPGA department owns the end-to-end systemization and architectural design for both Radio and RAN Compute FPGAs in addition to be responsible for the long-term technology strategy for FPGA architectural evolution and IP level systemization.

As a leader for the Baseband FPGA design team, you are expected to teach, mentor, challenge and develop individuals and multi-functional teams, and champion an innovative and learning culture. You are also responsible for defining and executing team strategies and plans based on the overall goals and strategies of FPGA department intersecting with Radio and Indoor segments. You will focus on the whole flow from idea generation to product, and continuously improve and evolve the ways of working.

You will be encouraged to act as a line responsible for Baseband FPGA projects to help coordinate the local multi-functional teams, and provide additional support to ensure execution to schedule, scope, and project expectations.


What you will do
Deliver FPGA Solutions for Baseband/RAN Compute
Drive FPGA processes and related development operations including scope, quality and cost
Drive development from early phases until FPGA product release
Drive and ensure tight-knit collaboration with other units in R&D such as stakeholders in RAN Compute and Radio
Strategically evolve the FPGA development operations and closely co-operate within the FPGA leadership team and partners
Systemization and requirement definition on FPGA from baseband product platform planning
Support post-PRA activities including maintenance
Support governance with FPGA Vendors
Work in an exciting work environment where customer excellence is key



You will bring
Technical education at a university level (M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Physics) or similar and well proven outstanding leadership skills
Analytical, structural, creative and result oriented approach
Genuine interest in digital ASIC/FPGA technology
Several years of experience within R&D organizations and/or Product Management Business and customer focused with emphasis on seeing the big picture and making decisions
Knowledge and experience of R&D processes, including lean & agile practices
Experience in capability and portfolio management
Ability to find and drive continuous improvements at work
Capability to strengthen teams and individuals through a succession plan
Outstanding communication skills
Large degree of flexibility and willingness to take on different tasks
Excellent written and oral communications skills in English
Fully adopt the New Leadership Framework
