To our team we are now looking for an additional FE Analyst .
Our team is called Concept and Simulation and is part of the transmission department. We lead projects, work with new concept and take active part in developing new solutions and refine our products. We have the global responsibility within Volvo to supply trucks and buses with world class transmissions. In order to do this simulation plays a key role.
The team is responsible for the mechanical calculations for the Drivelines and Hybrids department. This includes:
• Plan, perform and report technical analysis
• Recommend design improvements
• Judge the appropriate analysis level, ranging from "back of the envelope" estimations to advanced FE models
• Act as speaking partner for project leaders and design engineers
• Take part in our method development
• Participate in the design and verification planning for our systems and components

Profile and Qualifications
In order to be successful as an engineer in our team we believe that you have general technical interest and are curious how components and systems are connected and like to work together with your colleagues to deliver next generations of premium technical solutions.
• M.Sc. degree or higher
• Experience of advanced solid models with contacts in Abaqus and Ansa
• Knowledge in durability/fatigue analysis
• Experience or interest in NVH or optimization is considered a plus
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
