The successful applicant will be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operational activities and processes of a successful electronics recycling business. You will lead, supervise, and motivate factory/production staff to ensure agreed production/process targets are achieved. You will be directly responsible for company policy/procedures for all factory staff including timekeeping, discipline and related matters.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the following qualities and abilities:
• Factory & Operations supervision skills
• Recycling processes/factory layout and productivity improvements
• Teamworking/Leadership/Motivational skills
• Able to analyse and set line/process performance and targets
• Measure staff against agreed targets and introduce performance improvements if and when required
• An excellent communicator and listener who can impart passion to both colleagues and the general workplace environment
• Good understanding and experience in staff disciplinary procedures
• Strong PC Skills and product knowledge and, where possible, technically capable in fields such as bar-coding, stock control, warehouse management systems, and materials handling
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
• Set with management and SPOs (Senior Production Operators) agreed recycling rates and targets for all factory operations
• Agree with management appropriate levels of staffing for all areas of operation/processes
• Manage factory staff in all aspects including Health and Safety
• Ensure factory staff observe company procedures and managing any contraventions appropriately
• Work with management to ensure a positive "can-do" results driven culture thrives, with operations staff able to embrace change as required
• Continually work to improve process/factory optimisation for improved productivity
• Ensure Environmental Compliance in accordance with Licences
THE INDIVIDUAL
You are likely to have been in a similar position exercising similar responsiblities probably within an electronics or comparable manufacturing environment. Candidates outwith this may also be considered - for example recent graduates, who wish to take on an important operational role within a small company, enhance the team, and who are passionate about making a difference.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
You will report formally to the Datec Finance/HR director and informally to local Swedish Management.
