hela Sverige We have an immediate opening for an Experimental & Modelling Scientist at the Bleaching Chemicals Process RD&I department in Bohus, Sweden.
As Experimental & Modelling Scientist you will support with your expertise in mathematical modelling to develop existing processes and ensure successful implementation of projects.
The position is focused on modelling, chemical engineering and process design which mainly means office work but also involves working in a laboratory or factory environment. Process RD&I also supports the plants with trouble shooting if needed.
Main responsibilities
• Provide chemical engineering and mathematical modelling expertise
• Carry out chemical engineering calculations and develop mathematical models to support the organization?s work
• Support projects with technical expertise and research methodology
• Participate in or lead projects and other activities within Process RD&I
• Prepare technical basis for commercial decisions and act as expert in defined area
• Administer licenses for, and arrange installation of, the softwares MATLAB and Comsol Multiphysics to ensure that the license agreements are met
• Actively follow the technical/scientific development within the field through contacts with universities and institutes to acquire new knowledge and ideas and identify threats
• Develop and maintain an internal and external network
Qualifications
• PhD in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
• Preferably some experience from similar job
• Expertise in mathematical modelling of chemical engineering processes
• Excellent skills in Excel/VBA, Comsol Multiphysics, MATLAB, Aspen Plus and other relevant tools
• Preferably good knowledge of production processes for inorganic chemicals
• Experience of planning, leading and evaluating experimental work
• Experience of managing small to medium sized projects
• Methodical, results oriented and quality-driven
• Good ability to document and present results
• Team player with good communication skills
• Fluent in English
Additional information
This is a permanent position on a full time basis, reporting to the Department Manager for PPC ISC Bleaching Chemicals Process RD&I and based in Bohus.
