Our unit is responsible for mechanical solutions in microwave radio networks. Working as a Mechanical Design Engineer is a creative job with a lot of variety and many challenges. The design and maintenance of mechanics for microwave radio networks is about finding efficient and sustainable solutions. As an important member of our team you will be involved in product development projects and cooperating with other departments within Ericsson.
Our world-class microwave products MINI-LINK and Marconi LH need constant upgrading and we are looking for creative and innovative mechanical designers who can help us prepare for future demands. In return, you will gain experience in an international environment full of challenges that will inspire you to develop and grow.
Competence
We believe you are enthusiastic about mechanical design, that you take the initiative and are interested in learning new things. You understand the need for cost-efficient solutions and have a drive to actively work with improvements. You work well independently but are also a team player with strong focus on achieving results on time and with high quality. You have the ability to drive the whole process and to lead others (project management). Experience of working with casting is considered an advantage.
You should also have:
• A relevant BSc or MSc
• Work experience in design using Pro/ENGINEER
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods (machining, casting, sheet metal)
• Good written and spoken English
