We're recruiting a new Senior hardware design engineer in our organization, Ericsson Power Modules. We offer a position where you will work with electrical power designs and where quality and energy efficiency is top priority. The development is done in a small R&D team where your influence and contribution is essential to the product design.

Power Modules is the organization within Ericsson striving for world-class power solutions, optimized for a total life-cycle cost perspective with respect to energy considerations and environmental demands.
In a tight team, your tasks will be to develop and improve power modules and implement new technologies required to insure the technology leadership for Ericsson. The job includes requirement handling, design and verification. You will deal with the design of DC/DC converters, POL, EMI filters, protection circuitry, supervision and control functions. You will work in a relatively small and tight team of developers and verification engineers, although you will have a larger contact network with engineers from Ericsson sites at Kista, Kalmar, Lindholmen and Shanghai. Power Modules is also delivering to other customers apart from Ericsson so you will get a network outside Ericsson too. You will also have the opportunity to travel to our site in Shanghai. You shall be prepared to share your knowledge to colleagues and on conferences worldwide.
Due to the high number of products and the high quality aspects we also have adapted the platform design method which will support you in the design process. Your skills will be preserved and reused over and over again in a continuous improvement cycle.
Qualifications
BSc or MSc degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
5 years experience of analog electric design and switched power supplies
Good knowledge of Power Converter Topologies
Practical experience of handling measurement instrumentation in a laboratory environment
Good knowledge of control theory for Power Applications
Fluent in English
You have an analytical approach, a strong drive for results and customer focus. You have good communication and co-operation skills and the ability to take the initiative and adapt to new methods and techniques. As a person you are curious and like to continuously increase knowledge and explore new technologies.
It would be of great value if you have good knowledge about:
Different power applications
Digital power design and firmware/software
Schematic drawing
Swedish language
