We Offer
The right candidate is offered an exciting opportunity taking responsibility for stock management in the Scandinavian Cluster along with daily equipment execution. This is one of the core functions of Maersk Liner Business, and you and the team will deliver the most efficient management of our assets in line with commercial as well as operational drivers.
You will work with continuous improvement initiatives and ensure good cooperation with our internal stakeholders as well as customers, vendors, Liner Operations Cluster, Global Service Centre and other Equipment functions.
Together with your stakeholders you will optimise equipment flows in our cluster providing sound and clean containers to Maersk Lines customers. You will be a Maersk Line representative towards suppliers and internal stakeholders and together you will work actively to secure delivery on both operational and commercial targets.
The vacant position will be placed either in Aarhus (Skejby) or in Gothenburg (Mölndalsvägen).
Key Responsibilities
• Full responsibility of equipment stock management in Denmark which include cost optimisation without compromising our commercial requirements.
• Develop close relationships with internal stakeholders in the Scandinavian organisation, Liner Operations Cluster and Global Service Centre to better facilitate local business needs; develop and maintain good relationships with external vendors.
• Optimise equipment flows for the container assets for the different carrier brands within Maersk Group.
• Initiate, lead and handle projects and improvement initiatives.
• Build a strong cross functional relationship.
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate is a team player with a commercial mind-set and a proactive approach. You should have a convincing personality, a sense of urgency, drive and be result orientated. You are a proficient communicator and relationship builder with both external and internal stakeholders.
We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record within Supply Chain Management, Customer Service, Operations or Logistics with a strong focus on the actual service and behaviour delivered. You have relevant experience dealing with logistics.
You have a relevant education or equivalent work experience, minimum 2 years in the transportation industry. Basic understanding of process excellence is preferable. You are able to drive change and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent English skills, verbal and written are required. Basic understanding of the Scandinavian languages is an advantage. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word) is required.
