As the Engineering Manager for one of our Software Engineering teams, you will play a crucial role in both leading daily deliveries and engaging in strategic discussions with Product and Technology leadership. This is your opportunity to shape our technology landscape and create real business impact. About the role:
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join our Software Engineering department in Stockholm. You will lead a team of 5 engineers responsible for customer onboarding for our Nordax brand, specializing in secure loans. Working closely with the Product Owner and Head of Tech Nordax, you will drive your team's deliveries while staying hands-on with software development.
As Engineering Manager, you will work across the full stack, developing new web services, improving system usability, and maintaining existing solutions. This role is perfect for someone with strong technical skills who wants to stay close to software development while also mentoring and leading a team.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Leadership & coaching - Guide, mentor, and support your team members.
Cross-team collaboration - Drive initiatives across multiple teams and domains.
Business impact - Ensure business objectives are met and project deadlines are achieved.
Technical leadership - Support your team making technical decisions as responsible for your teams deliveries
Process improvement - Uphold and refine development best practices and ways of working.
Recruitment & growth - Help build and strengthen the Software Engineering organization by hiring top talent.

We are looking for you who:
Enjoys leading and supporting others, while staying involved in technical development. You are curious, engaged, and always looking for ways to improve both your own skills and those of your team. You also value close collaboration with fellow Engineering Managers to align and enhance ways of working across teams. For this role you'll need:
7+ years of experience in software development with C#/.NET/.NET Core.
3+ years of experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (preferably React).
2+ years of formal leadership experience.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft's development stack and lifecycle tools.
Experience working with SQL.
Fluency in English (written & spoken).
Experience in hiring, goal-setting, coaching, and performance reviews.

It's a plus if you have:
Public cloud platforms (preferably Azure).
Test-driven development (TDD) or similar methodologies.
Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
Scrum Master responsibilities.
Fluency in Swedish.
