We are now looking for a Delivery Lead/Engineering Manager to Saltside, an exciting product company in central Gothenburg!
About Saltside
Saltside are building leading online marketplaces in underserved markets, while creating sustainable value for the community. Currently Saltside operates top classified sites in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Ghana, and Nigeria. In these markets the vast majority of people are yet to go online for the first time ? and we think they should be greeted by high quality services and a great end-user experience when they do.
Responsibilities:
The key responsibility for this role is to build a strong team of 8-10 engineers, focusing on web & mobile, and:
• Responsible for the overall milestone planning, execution, delivery and release of our largest and most complex cross-team engineering initiatives into production.
• Coordinate and choreograph delivery across engineering teams and manage to plan.
• Identify, diagnose and remove cross-team impediments so teams can deliver.
• Provide direction and guidance of scaled agile practices across teams.
• Negotiate scope and manage trade-offs for delivery and cost/benefit process improvement decisions.
• Manage and facilitate cross-team ceremonies (standups, retrospectives, reporting etc).
• Relentlessly focus on improving and maintaining deliveries across teams.
• Establish and manage to KPIs.
• Facilitate a collaborative, open and transparent environment.
• Manage progress, risks and issues with teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Software engineering experience or demonstrated analytical and technical skills.
• Ability to understand technical subjects and emerging technologies and relevance to the marketplace.
• Ability to work well as a member of a highly integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members.
• Ability to manage/juggle competing priorities without loss of efficiency.
• Strong organizational, project management, analysis, and communication skills.
