Your responsibilities
• Promote, inform and clarify commercial initiatives and projects, produced by the Home Furnishing and Retail Design (HFRD) team to create co-worker engagement, understanding, and adoption.
• Simplify and clarify communication. Strategically communicate the connection between projects/initiatives and the business goals and objectives to create understanding and engagement in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Lead and facilitate engagement and connection to build the HFRD community in the markets and IKEA stores.
• Identify, develop and lead new ways to reach and engage co-workers and build communities, continuously looking for ways to renew and improve.
• Lead, coordinate and project manage large-scale engagement events for commercial topics in HFRD and Market Support. Coaching stakeholders and contributors to secure a commercial collaboration.
• Share best practices and new ways of working to communicate and engage co-workers with Market Support, Markets, and Stores. Coach, empower, and support stakeholders with content creation, planning, and delivery of the most effective, inspiring, and relevant communication to engage the target audience.
• Support the Sharing and Documentation manager in leading and implementing the HFRD engagement and communication strategy. Identifying engagement and communication opportunities and proactively contributing to the planning, discussion, and execution to secure alignment with the creative vision.
• Produce written and visual communication for events, presentations, communication packages, and social outreach (yammer, SharePoint, emails, etc). Securing clear and consistent communication that meet the Inter IKEA systems written communication standards and IKEA visual identity standards.
• Lead the optimization of co-worker communication and engagement by increasing reach and visitation to communication channels. Maintaining and updating information to make sure it is relevant.
• Actively build relationships with stakeholders, co-creators, and hosts in the markets. Working across functions within the Ingka Group and in good collaboration with other IKEA businesses. To be successful in this role,
• Demonstrate strong leadership skills, by using sound judgements to make timely and effective decisions
• Ability to understand the complexity of our business and the role of communication as an integrated part of the business
• Ability to communicate verbally, visually, and in writing in an inspirational way with an IKEA tone of voice.
• Ability to coordinate and lead communication and engagement projects (incl. virtual)
• Capable of championing new methods, digital systems, and processes to improve performance and innovation in engagement and communication
• Ability to manage projects
• Ability to build relationships and manage stakeholders Knowledge:
• Extensive knowledge of how to lead communication and engagement by defining, planning, executing, and following-up communication with relevant stakeholders to keep our co-workers well informed, engaged, and empowered
• Good understanding of creating engagement through communication
• Good understanding of the process for delivering efficient communication and stakeholder plans, tools, and our communication channels
• Good knowledge of digital/social media/graphic design and video production.
• Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written)
• Good knowledge about the IKEA culture and values Furthermore, you have:
• Proven experience in strategic communication, project management, and engagement.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience working with communication and engagement
• Proven strong interpersonal skills
• Strong project management skills
• Preferred: Knowledge of IKEA brand, culture, values, and ways of working.
• Preferred: Working knowledge of graphic and video software such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Premier Pro, and After Effects.
