THIS IS US, YOUR NEW COLLEAGUES
Powertrain Engineering Electrical & Electronics is developing control systems for transmissions, engines and aftertreatment systems for the Volvo Group, including HW and internally developed SW. We have developers spread on multiple sites around the world and utilize Lean and Agile principles for our development.
We are a team of system engineers developing the electrical system in close cooperation with the agile teams developing the control systems. You will work in a dynamic environment with the target to develop the most efficient embedded system platform, which is used by more than 300 software and hardware engineers around the world when developing features for our customers.
In other words we are a team delivering great products/enablers for our customer success. Together we develop the solutions for the world's future sustainable and automatized transportation.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a System engineer in the electrical system area. In this position you will work in the team responsible for the Powertrain Engineering Electrical System Platform. You will be expected to lead system solution investigations and work with requirements and functional safety. You will also network with other stakeholders of the electrical system and work closely with our agile HW and SW development teams.

WHO ARE YOU?
M.Sc. Degree in Computer Science/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
Experience from embedded system development
Good verbal and written communication skills in English
You will join our development center located in Göteborg (Lundby) and you will be in daily collaborating with our colleagues in the main continents Hagerstown (USA), Curitiba (Brazil), Ageo (Japan), India, China and Lyon (France). To achieve your mission and build your network you will also be travelling occasionally.
