At Vehicle Connectivity we are in the middle of the digital transformation, and we work with implementing end-to-end functions like Driver Coaching, ISee, Remote SW Download and Geofencing. Connectivity is a key enabler for fleet management, uptime services and advanced vehicle services as driver assistance and fuel reduction, targeting reduced costs as well as increased revenues. The development in the area of connectivity is huge, and we expect to be part of the functional growth in Active Safety and Automation in a near future.

Our way of developing software is by following the agile mindset from Scrum and Kanban. We work in cross functional teams and in close cooperation with our stakeholders. "Trust to the teams/servant leaders" is one of our key values. We have empowered teams and expect them to take the full delivery responsibility. The people we hire have both the attitude and competence to take on that responsibility. We currently have team members of all experience levels and many nationalities, as we believe diversity in teams boosts creativity.
The sprint backlogs contain development of new or enhanced telematics functions in our product, from concept to released software. The teams design in C++,and for automatic sub-system verification we practice Robot Framework (Python) and Squish. We are using continuous integration and soon continuous deployment/delivery. We currently work with the new generation HW and SW for telematics.
Processes and frameworks we use: Kanban, Scrum, Agile Software Development, (SAFe).
Development tools we use: Embedded Linux, Yocto, C++14, Python Jenkins, GIT, Artifactory, Squish and Robot test framework.
Vehicle Connectivity is a global department within GTT Vehicle Engineering, established to secure connected vehicles supporting the increasing demand for connected services and in-vehicle entertainment functions, within the Volvo Group. The telematics and entertainment components build a global platform utilized by the brands within the Volvo Group. We have a clear product ownership for our products, all through the lifecycle.

You have several years of experience in embedded software design.
You will join one of the Gothenburg cross functional scrum team. You will do software design and also contribute to the team in carrying out requirement and sub-system verification tasks. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to tackle new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.
Must Have Qualifications
• Master's degree in computer science / computer engineering or equivalent education
• Interest in embedded software design, OO C++
• Well spoken and written English
