HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a business unit within ABB's Power Grids division located in Ludvika.?The unit develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. This ABB developed HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. HVDC is also used to interconnect power systems.
Overall description:
You will be a part of our product development organization working in the interface to our electronics manufacturing partners and our supply chain organization. Your main responsibility will be to secure an open and transparent dialogue with our manufacturing partners. The target is to maximize up time of our production lines and minimize delays in case a line is down due to technical and or material supply reasons.
Your main tasks and responsibilities would be:
• Monitoring of electronics manufacturing suppliers (EMS)
o Recurring follow-up meetings with several suppliers on a daily basis.
o Keep record of all items, follow up progress and communicate associated risks.
• Monitoring of product orders and product supply
o Continuous monitoring of running production to secure that all manufacturing orders can be delivered.
o Communication and escalation if there is a risk that production and associated delivery plans cannot be met.
• Electronics product material shortage monitoring and administration
o Provide requested information to minimize risk of production stop due to lack of material.
o Drive the component selection process, together with development and component engineers, and coordinate assisted tests and or analysis to find alternative components in case of component shortage.
• Financial administration
o Receiving and handling of quotations from or electronic manufacturers with regards to changes and updates of our manufacturing lines.
o Arrangements of corresponding purchase requests
o Arrival reporting of goods, products and services
• Electronics manufacturing documentation.
o Drive manufacturing documentation changes, initiated by our electronics manufacturers
• Product and manufacturing line maintenance
o Drive product changes, initiated by suppliers
o Communicate and interact with electronics design engineers to provide product related support when time critical issue needs to be solved on the manufacturing line.
• Product and material quality management
o Receive and handle product quality related questions and deviations, from our electronic manufacturers and their suppliers, and work with our organization to provide both short and long-term acceptance criteria.
• Manufacturing and delivery related logistics
o Handling of shipping, receiving and distribution of material and products related to our electronics manufacturers
Requirements:
You are a structured and well-organized leader that can handle multiple tasks in a multi-disciplinary environment. As a competence base you have a technical education but relevant experience from electronics manufacturing and or an electronics supply chain organization is more important.
The successful candidate has:
• A deep interest and experience from electronics manufacturing
• Experience from electronics supply chain management
• Professional, open-minded and quality-focused mindset
• Excellent communication & networking skills. We are a global team. Spoken and written skills in English are mandatory. Fluency in Swedish would be an added advantage.
