hela Sverige As Laundry Control System Team Manager you will be leading and managing the local control system engineering team as part of the global Electronics & Electrical Systems cross-product matrix organisation belonging to Electrolux Professional. The role is based in Ljungby, Sweden.
Within this Organizational model you will have to:
• Ensure flawless execution of the projects portfolio for what concern cost, quality and time
• Support definition and implementation of a global Electronic Control System Strategy by providing laundry-specific input while fostering deployment of cross-product technical solutions
• Support proper resource and skillset planning for development and maintenance of said Electronic Controls System Strategy to build and execute a robust Controls Roadmap
• Ensure execution of said Global Electronics Strategy by adopting and adhering to standards, guidelines, best practices regarding system architecture development, HW, FW and SW Doing that she/he will have to manage resources allocation and budget in an optimized way to allow execution of the Generation Plan based on agreed priorities.
The Global R&D Laundry Control System Team Manager will also be responsible to drive use and adoption of Company Processes related to Project Management, Module and Product Development (PDP, ECDP, etc.).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic:
• Support and maintain the Electronic Control System Roadmap ensuring right level of focus on:
• Strategic Technologies to be implemented
• Modularity Strategy and Complexity governance
• New Standards, Industry and Competitors trends
• Align the local team set-up to become highly focused on customer needs and time to market
• Align the local team to the next level of Integration by fostering deployment of global tools, guidelines and best practices (one "glocal" team approach)
• Support the definition and implementation of the modularization strategy to allow flexibility and contain complexity
• Support innovation at the electronics level by fostering a strong relationship with Electrolux tech centres (GTC, ITO, etc)
• Support the global team at identifying synergies and opportunities across locations to gain efficiency and productivity
• Foster a stronger project leadership culture and system integration skills
Operational:
• Ensure execution and delivery of the project pipeline (measured on time cost and quality)
• Ensure execution of all development activities from specification and verification of a system concept to industrialization and production launch
• Proactively support creation of yearly project based budgets to deliver the projects pipeline
• Responsible for the local budget and proper resources workload allocation
• Drive the improvement of product development efficiency in time and cost
• Lead, motivate and develop people (through customer focus, creating the continues successful path forward)
• Responsible to provide proper support to the Product Care Teams to deliver ECI, Quality targets as well as proper support to the Factories when necessary.
Education
• M.Sc. in Electronic Engineering and/or related relevant field
Skills
• Proven technical background and significant experience (> 5yr) in Electronic Control System development and life-cycle management:
• Embedded systems architecture HW & FW
• Communication protocols
• Power electronics
• Sensors and control algorithms
• Robust Design (e.g. Six Sigma)
• FMEA
• Measurement and data acquisition systems
• Demonstrated leadership ability (as an inspiring leader who can motivate a team) with an international mindset in a multi-cultural work environment. Ideally, this individual should see diversity as an asset to the organization and an enabler of progress rather than just a difficulty to overcome.
• Able to drive consensus through management by influence especially with senior members of the organisation
• Strategic as well as operational mindset: result driven
• Excellent communication skills and ability at effective communication with different levels of an organization. Used to matrix organizations and to handling different stakeholders.
• Team player contributing to own as well as other organizations/functions
• Open to change and "out of the box" innovative thinking: challenges the status quo and established orthodoxies.
• Ability to translate non-technical user requirements into specification
• Experience in working in a corporate structure with a matrix organization and world-wide operations
• Experiences in Project Management processes and disciplines.
• Exceptional coaching skills with a genuine interest in developing team members through delegation.
