Are you a skilled, humble and driven engineer that wants to make a difference?
For Scania as well as Traton (our mothership), the future is electric. It is a technology shift that is key to reach a sustainable transport system and our science-based targets.
Scania and Traton offers an extended range of electric vehicles and will continue to introduce new products yearly. We need more colleagues who are passionate about making a change for colleagues, company, customers and ultimately our mother earth.
Join our team
We are a diverse and dedicated team of mainly software and function developers that perform major achievements in a lean but growing agile organization that delivers in short cycles. We are eager to contribute to a better world and be part of the delivery of outstanding products, right at the forefront of driving the shift!
Within the section, we develop Battery and Electrification Management Systems for Scania and other Traton brand trucks, busses and power solutions, organised in several teams with different competencies and areas of responsibility.
We have open positions for software development engineers, scrum master, product owner, safety engineer and safety manager.
Now we are looking for a team member specifically taking on the role as Product Owner for Auxiliaries control that among other things manage the high voltage distribution and electrified power takeout.
What a typical day may look like
You start your day at the espresso machine, discussing yesterday's test results in the chassis wind tunnel test with a colleague. Next, you attend the scrum meeting, where you catch up on news related to tasks for the new module and review a couple of items.
After discussions with colleagues in the USA and Germany, you update the feature list and speak with the Release Train Engineer. As the Product Owner, you prioritize and update the product backlog to align with business goals.
Following a joint lunch, you test the new functionality in the vehicle on the test track. In a meeting with the electrified power take-out and high-voltage control engineers, you discuss data from the recent test expedition, resulting in adjustments to an algorithm.
You manage the retrospective meeting, addressing some of the suggested improvements.
Finally, after discussions with stakeholders, you revise the plan for the next increment with the product manager. The day concludes with your participation in the run club near the Scania Health Centre, followed by your return home on the Scania Express.
