Product Development Unit Cloud System is a new PDU within Development Unit Core Networks and has been in operation since June 2013. Our mission is to secure the development and deployment of the Ericsson Cloud System (ECS) release to our customers. The major part of the development is done in Stockholm, Budapest, Aachen, Jorvas and New Jersey.

Qualifications
To join the Ericsson R&D Global Graduate Program you should have the following qualifications:
• A Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant field
• 0-2 years experience in ICT
• A high motivation and interest in working in the ICT area
• An interest in experimentation and innovation, an ability to think creatively and "outside the box"
• Self-esteem, self-knowledge, social ability and an interest and potential in leading other people
• A global attitude, willingness to relocate internationally
• The desire and the ability to work in a multicultural environment
• Strong leadership and communication skills and fluent in English and possibly one other language
• The ability to quickly adopt and enjoy using the latest technologies within SW and business development.
The candidate should have an interest in and experience from one or several programming languages (e.g. C, c++, Java, Python) , UNIX/Linux operating system and virtualization. We base the majority of the ECS system blocks on the OpenStack Open Source project, so it is an advantage if you have experience from development in open source in general and preferably in OpenStack.
As a SW developer in our organization, you will work in a cross functional development team following Agile methods and principles. Activities for systemizing, designing and implementing functionality for the Cloud system are planned and performed by the team, e.g. related to development of load balancing, networking, hypervisor and switching.
Since we are striving to be able to deliver the ECS system frequently based on the needs of the different Ericsson internal and external customers, we apply Continuous Integration ways of working with frequent check in of code and automation of the quality assurance work.
