The Solution Architect at STS* is responsible for creating solutions to user requirements for 4G & 5G focusing on the Packet Core domain but as with any end-to-end network multiple domains are always involved requiring you to have competence in other domains as well. You will also be exposed to hands-on in implementation of the solutions and handling incident tickets with the purpose to make sure you can create solutions that is aligned with the environment. The environment you will be working with are used by various PDUs to E2E validate network functions during software development. The role involves working with the latest technologies in 5G and Cloud.
You will be working in a team of other Solution Architects, Integration Engineers, network engineers and Project Managers that together are responsible both for operations and development of the telecom environment. The team spans across the world in multiple time zones as members are located in Sweden, Canada and China. It is also a very multi-cultural and diverse team.

You will
Groom user requirements
Create technical solutions
Drive end-to-end technical solutions
Realize architecture network design with HLDs and LLDs
Develop technical presentations
Participate in knowledge transfer, documentation and information sharing
Support integration team during implementation phase
Work hands-on with deployment, configuration, integration, and troubleshooting of Packet Core products (5GC but also 4G-EPC)
Collaborate with other solution architects, and also with teams of integration and network engineers
Define evolution of the existing and new solutions.
Stay abreast of new technology/technical areas and share information about solution to enable competence build
Identify and drive improvements

To be successful in the role you must have
Education: University degree or equivalent
2+ years of solution architect experience with focus on Packet core
5+ years hands-on experience in Packet Core products covering both 5G and 4G (AMF, UPF, SMF, MME, EPG etc.)
Experience with Solution Architecture, Hight Level Design and Low Level Design creation
E2E technical understanding of telecom networks
Knowledge in Virtualization and Cloud technologies (OpenStack, Docker/Container, Kubernetes)
Feel very comfortable working in Linux OS
Good IP Networking skills. Plus is knowledge of MPBN/EIN
Great oral and verbal communication, critical and analytical thinking, problem-solving, active listening/hearing, thought leadership
You should be Task oriented & capable to work in multi-functional teams
Fluent in English
