We are proud product owners for components, systems as well as complete powertrains. We are accountable for the lifecycle management of our products, from advanced engineering, through product development into the maintenance phase. The majority of our powertrain components are traditional combustion engines, after treatment systems, transmissions and axles however the importance of e-mobility components is growing every day.

We stand in front of significant challenges - where reducing transport emitted CO2 emissions is one of the biggest - and are now adapting to take this on by simplifying and empowering our organization and way of working. Electromobility

The Electromobility organization is responsible for the complete development lifecycle, from strategic development to maintaining the products on the market. We drive the transition from conventional powertrains to electromobility and secure a stepwise implementation in different segments/regions. This organization develop and drives the electromobility product portfolio for Trucks & Buses as well creating opportunities for all business areas within Volvo Group. Electromobility is one of the keys to achieving sustainable mobility for the future.

Your responsibility

As Director for Power conversion system, you will have the responsibility to lead a growing organization today consisting of about 25 employees. Your first task will be to shape together with your colleagues in the Electromobility Leadership team the organizational structure for the Power conversion system section and recruit your management team.

The power conversion section include motor drive system, low voltage supply system, dissipation system and auxiliary system.

As Director Power conversion system, your key responsibilities are:
Actively contribute to E-mobility business plans and continuesly drive improved way of working
Develop your subsystem technology roadmap
Continuously work with capacity planning to meet todays and future needs
Responsible for architecture, system and function development within the sub-system
Hardware, software, simulation and verification responsibility for the complete lifecycle
