The internal communication team is a well-established team within the company, with a strong network inside Volvo Trucks and within the Volvo Group.
Our mission is to provide information and inspiration with the purpose to fuel employee dialogue and engagement. We are driven both by a will to change how internal communication is made in general, and a strong sense of delivering high end relevant and inspirational communication.
During the upcoming year we will continue the communication of Volvo Trucks Business strategy with the main aim of strengthening and further position Volvo Trucks as a customer company.
In addition, we will focus our attention around building internal product knowledge and pride.
Role description
As Director Internal Communications you will lead and develop the Internal Communications team in Volvo Trucks. You will be responsible for translating Volvo Trucks business strategy into effective internal communication, support the strategic internal execution and drive employee engagement.

Who are you?
To be successful in this position you need to have experience from global communication, have a clear business understanding and ability to translate business strategy into communication objectives and actions. But most of all you are a true team player with ability to include others and make things happen.
Your main focus will be to:
• Develop and execute Internal Communication in order to support Volvo Trucks business strategy and related objectives.
• Develop, execute and align internal communication for EVP & President Volvo Trucks and Volvo Trucks' executive management team
• Drive an integrated internal communications agenda, secure alignment between external and internal content
• Develop digital communications and related tools for internal target groups
• Support corporate projects and initiatives with communication planning
• Measure the effectiveness of Internal Communications and improve the work accordingly
Required knowledge/experience
In this position you will be a part of the Brand & Communications management team and report to SVP Brand & Communications. You will work in close cooperation with Volvo Trucks Sales Areas, Brand, Marketing, HR, Business Control and Strategy. To be successful in your new role we want you to have the following knowledge/experience:
• Academic degree / journalism / marketing / PR / media /communication/business
• Good understanding of international media landscape and working methods
• Leadership experience and experience from developing teams
• Excellent personal communication and writing skills
• Independent decision maker
• Fluent in oral and written English
