Director Delivery Coordination
Global Supply Chain is the central organisation globally responsible for creating availability of products and services in a cost-efficient manner.
Global Supply Chain is also responsible for inventory management of all finished products globally as well as for supply chain and process development.
Furthermore, we are engaged in Product projects where supply chain has a key role.
Main KPI 's are delivery precision, forecast quality (demand & supply plan accuracy), service level and inventory turnover.
The Director Delivery Coordination will be located in Gothenburg and report directly to the Vice President Global Supply Chain.
Job Description:
Personnel responsibility for the Delivery Coordination team (~10 direct reports)
Today the team belongs to a larger department that will be split, so the manager will be responsible for the development of a new team
Responsibility for continuous improvements and competence development within the Delivery Coordination team
Responsibility for budget, plan and expenses
Member of Global Supply Chain management team
Delivery Coordinators are responsible for
managing the daily work related to the outbound process
contribute to customer satisfaction by ensuring the accuracy and timely processing of transport bookings and handling of transport deviations
manage the transport bookings from global distribution centres to Volvo Penta's customer or local warehouses with focus on delivery precision ("on time in full") and quality. The used modes of transport are road, overseas, rail and air
Qualifications:
People oriented with managerial and leadership experience
Clear customer and quality focus
Well organized
Strong analytical & IT skills
Process oriented and proactive with a drive to improve
Ability to handle and lead change
University degree in Supply Chain Management and preferably experience and knowledge from transport logistics
