FINANCIAL DEEP DIVER & CURIOUS?
WE LIKE THAT ABOUT YOU

At Sandvik Materials Technology (SMT) our mission is much more than to just handle good products, technology and processes - working together to develop solutions based on our customers' needs, and, thereby, achieving our business goals is a better description of our daily work. With curious co-workers and safety as our first priority, we create a work environment where you can grow both personally and professionally.

At product area Powder, we are on an exciting journey. We are to leverage on the rapid development of metal additive manufacturing (3D-printing), expand our manufacturing capacity, our customer offering, and the way we bring that offering to the market. All this while maintaining a market leading profitability.

As if that was not enough, our operations in Sandviken need to set up an ERP-system to support tomorrows business, and execute a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility for metal powder. It's not easy, but it's a lot of fun. To be successful in this endeavor, we really need a diligent, curious and happy controller. Are you the one to join our ambitious team? If so, we'd like to hear from you.

The job
As controller, you manage financial processes such as monthly closing, forecasting and financial target setting for our operations in Sandviken, Sweden. Furthermore, you take an active role in supporting operative decisions by conducting ongoing follow-ups of performance, scenario analysis and suggest actions based on the analysis. Additionally, you react on deviations and communicate and collaborate with all necessary stakeholders. At the outset, there will be high demands to develop the financial performance and system environment as our operations are expanding significantly.

Working within the finance area at Sandvik means that you are a true business partner, contributing with your expertise in translating numbers to business and describing how different choices affect the results. Managers and decision makers will rely on your grasp of the numbers, and act with these as part of the decision-making basis.

You report directly to the Head of Finance and Communications at the product area and indirectly to the Head of the production unit in Sandviken. The position is based in Sandviken. Travel is an occasional part of this position.

Your background
We are looking for someone with a degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration and senior experience from working with financial controlling, preferably in a global business environment. A good understanding of financial processes, reporting and monthly closings are considered a plus, as is having previously worked in a manufacturing industry. We think you have previous experience working with SAP and/or M3 and as we operate in an international setting, you have good communication skills in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.

You take pride in driving to the finish line, then you find a new finish line to drive towards
We think that you are the kind of person who enjoys deep digging. This is probably where you feel the most comfortable and perform at your best. You are used to take responsibility for your deliveries, and working toward deadlines and at high pace comes natural to you. Once a task is completed, you move quickly to the next, achieving continuous improvements along the way. You will be part of an eager and motivated team assigned to swiftly and dynamically grow the business from today's early state into a business of significance and pride to SMT and to Sandvik. On that team, you are the go-to person with regards to financial matters, meaning that you will face a wide array of tasks. Therefore, you enjoy and thrive in an environment where changes to the agenda is part of life.
