Polestar is blazing a new trail, dedicating itself to the development and refinement of electric vehicle performance. Your expertise as an experienced Digital Vehicle Engineer would be invaluable to us as we develop (mobile) software for our electric vehicles.

Let us describe the challenge we offer

The Polestar In-Car and Mobile Apps team is a unique digital development area in Polestar Digital that requires unique technical competences to ensure our solutions are of the highest quality standard that matches our amazing vehicles. The Digital Vehicle Engineer will be part of this product area.

Organizationally, the product area In-car and Mobile Apps is placed within the domain of Customer Acquisitions and Services (CAS). CAS delivers digital solutions that enable the acquisition of new customers and provides services to existing customers. The primary goal is to provide a world-class experience in both physical and digital touchpoints. The domain is a key enabler of Polestar's overall strategy as a D2C brand and the increasingly important aftermarket business.

What you will do

As a Digital Vehicle Engineer, you will be working closely together with the other digital development teams in the product area of In-car and Mobile Apps and act as a bridge to related departments such as RnD (or other parts of the company).

The Digital Vehicle Engineer is a unique competence that works on a wide variety of focus areas revolving around quality assurance, vehicle compatibility, connected car features, test car management and future car models.

Amongst many other things, the role contains tasks such as:

• Set-up and execute test processes,

• Software and backend setup in dev, stage and production,

• Troubleshooting and error tracing,

• Documenting and reporting on error tracing,

• Actively monitor incidents and potential threats.

You will always have end-customer focus in all areas of your work to see the wider picture while still retaining attention to detail.

Who you are

You have a solid background in programming languages used in car connectivity architecture. You thrive in quality assurance, test management and execution, error and fault tracing and have experience working with vehicle hardware modules connected to car connectivity. You have a solid understanding of connected car cloud architecture and can support in technical solutioning to support the (mobile) digital development teams from an architectural and development perspective.

You have impeccable communication skills (in English) and a 'can-do' self-starting attitude.

You also have solid understanding of the MVP mindset, understanding value of short-term planning, excellent facilitation skills and you can lead team members through the right activities for expected outcomes. Strong responsibility and influencing skills, being able to confidently explain complex processes or technical details to diverse groups of people.

At Polestar, you will be part of a cross-functional and international team, with English as a natural language for written and spoken communication. Since Polestar's in a scale-up phase you thrive by working in a fast-paced environment.

In summary, among other things, you have:

• Vehicle software loading and management experience,

• Vehicle back-end system knowledge,

• Experience with Google Automotive Services,

• Experience with mobile app testing,

• Experience with fault tracing tools (Can Analyzer, etc),

• E2E connectivity setup,

• CAN/LIN/LAN simulation and other functions for testing in a vehicle network is an advantage,

• HW setup knowledge, also Telematic/Infotainment systems with some basic knowledge on Diagnostics,

• B driver's license that is valid in Sweden.
