Job Description
As a DevOps Engineer at Assessio you'll be part of a growing team building cloud infrastructure and tooling for our next generation products and platform. Your main responsibilities will be centered around building, maintaining and monitoring the cloud infrastructure for our SaaS platforms, primarily through the application of infrastructure-as-code within a cloud native environment. You will also be a major factor in ensuring the tooling and methods used provide operational excellence of the running systems.
Together with the rest of the engineering and platform teams, you will have the opportunity to work with modern technologies and toolsets to develop best-in-class cloud-native applications and have an influence on large parts of the technical infrastructure and architecture for those systems.
Assessio's Engineering team comprises individuals with a broad range of cultural backgrounds and a combination of both on-site and remote team members. Your contribution will be essential to both the team and the business success of the Assessio group. We are thus looking for a team player with a strong sense of commitment and responsibility.
Main Responsibilities
• Build, test and maintain our SaaS cloud platform, primarily through infrastructure as code - Kubernetes, Helm, Containers, AWS CDK
• Automation of modern Continuous Integration and Deployment pipelines and processes, including a focus on GitOps
• Evolve tooling to optimise developer productivity within a cloud-native environment
• Help ensure our cloud architecture aligns with cloud-native best practices, including security, reliability, performance and cost control
• Create technical documentation related to infrastructure and tooling
• Work directly as part of the agile teams building our SaaS platform
Qualifications and Experience
• B.Sc degree or higher in relevant engineering field
• Excellent knowledge working with Cloud native technologies, preferably AWS
• Technical background in designing, implementing and improving cloud-native infrastructure, applications and platforms
• Commercial experience working with Kubernetes and related technologies
• 2+ years experience using modern programming languages, including Typescript/Javascript
• Experience working with Linux-based operating systems
• Experience working with agile teams and processes
• AWS related certifications an advantage
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Good spoken and written English language skills
Additional Info
The DevOps engineer is reporting to the Director of Engineering.
This role is open to both candidates who would like to join our team in Stockholm, but also for remote workers located within Sweden.
