NVH Center VCC is a department in Vehicle Engineering within Volvo Car R&D.
The NVH Center supports the car progams with analyse and verification to beable to fulfil customer targets within the attribute area of noise andvibrations. Our responsabilities are target setting, method development,
calculations, testing, attribute leadership and advanced engineering work.
Approx 75 people work at NVH Center VCC.
The section Body/Chassis NVH consists of 12 NVH engineers. The worktasksconsists of body and chassis related NVH issues as windnoise, road noise, operational sound quality (customer operated features like power windows, doors, climate unit .), body acoustics and car isolation packages. We are responsible for supporting the development process completely - from early
pre-program phases until product launch quality.
As a development engineer NVH you will:
Be a part of the car program development team as task leader with responsibility for analyse and verification of body and chassis related noise and vibration attributes.
Test vehicles in different customer related drivning conditions to
evaluate windnoise, road noise and other component noises.
Test subsystems according to system requirements.
Report results to car program and propose improvements to the design solutions.
Participate in the development of new measurement and analysis methods needed to face the upcoming technical challenges.
Qualifications:
M.Sc. or equivalent education within mechanical engineering or physics.
Studys in applied structural dynamics and acoustics is an advantage.
Fluent in English, written and spoken.
Drivers license.
Practical experience from methods are considered to be an additional qualification
Experience in noise and vibration measurements
Experience in analysing customer perception of different noise phenomena
Experience from using measurement system and analysis softwares.
Preferable PULSE, HEAD SQ LAB & ARTEMIS and LMS.
Experience from product development in the automotive industry is appreciated.
