The introduction of BioPower is the latest prominent example of innovative technology that has received at lot of attention. We are part of GM Powertrain, a concern with activity in 17 countries and has over 59 000 employees. GM Powertrain Sweden are today working with around 800 employees stated at three sites in Sweden: engine development and engine production in Södertälje, integration- and transmissions development in Trollhättan and production of manual gearboxes in Göteborg
Duties:
GM Powertrain Sweden is looking for a development engineer in the area of "Development, Testing & Validation of Manual Transmissions Systems" in Trollhättan, Sweden.
Included in the groups responsibility are also parts of All Wheel Drive system. We are working both in-vehicle and in indoor laboratory environment and are continuously trying to move activities from in-vehicle to laboratory environment, as well as having more results in the form of objective measurement values. The work is focusing on true classical mechanical components and failure modes wrapped in car environment with a big touch of electronically measurement systems and computerized analysis software's. Currently a big expansion of our lab facilities is ongoing where we are installing a completely new generation of advanced and sophisticated Test Cells.
Qualifications:
We need to expand in different areas and are therefore looking for Engineers with a Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent education. We are part of an integrated European organization with German colleagues and has also a lot of cooperation with other GM Technical Centers around the globe, so good skills in the English language is required. You should be a curious, well structured, responsible person with a lot of power for own initiatives. There are 3 women already in the group and we will happily welcome more. The work assignment is flexible and will be defined considering your personality, interest and experience.
