Job Title - Desktop Support Engineer
General Description:
Responsibilities: -
Main Purpose of Role:
• Ensure maximum availability of facility infrastructure, systems, applications, and production workloads via established monitoring and control practices.
• Provide diagnostics, troubleshooting, and quick/efficient resolution on all problems.
• Meet and/or exceed Customer service level expectations for assigned service requests, changes, and incidents.
Experience: 1 years to 3 years
Duties and responsibilities:
• Utilize established tools and procedures to proactively monitor & control all facility infrastructure, system, application, and production workload performance to ensure maximum throughput and availability.
• Upon error detection, use Established Corrective Action procedures (triage, troubleshooting) to diagnose and expedite problem resolution
• Assist in continuous improvement of Operations Command Center (OCC) processes and procedures.
• Act as Technical Liaison between the Client/Customer and Technical Entities outside the OCC (Vendor, Engineering, etc.).
• Perform system and application change tasks as assigned
• Document shift activity. Notify appropriate technical staff via established procedures. Facilitate and perform shift turnover.
• Assist with project-related activities as assigned by Senior Technical personnel.
Skills/Experience:
• Ability to promote a cooperative work/team environment by presenting a professional and responsive attitude towards others and by demonstrating prompt and conscientious work habits
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deliverables simultaneously with the ability to adapt to change easily and function in a deadline driven environment. Task oriented and committed to task completion within expected timeframes.
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly in a self-study environment.
• Ability to work shift hours in a 24x7x365 environment
