The Technical & Commercial Support Marine & Offshore team is responsible for the commercial and technical support to subsidiaries, distributors and customers within Marine & Offshore, which is one of Roxtec’s three business areas. Together with other parts of the Roxtec group, we have a mission to provide support and create solutions that meet our customers’ needs, create value and in the long run generate loyal regular customers. The main part of our commercial and technical support is located at the headquarters in Karlskrona, Sweden.
The role as designer/test & certificate engineer includes work with the design, development and adaption of the company’s products to different customer applications – from identification of needs through to finalized solution.
It also includes identifying future requirements and needs as well as meeting the requirements of today. You support our customers and other parts of the organisation technically by a cross-functional way of working where you are a technical generalist with a great knowledge of our products.
You are part of a team of designers and engineers in which technical competence is an important corner stone, and we want you to contribute to increasing the technical competence globally within the company.
As our products are sold on a global market, testing and certification of our products is performed globally. As we stand for a deep technical expertise, we also act as support for our sales organization at customer meetings in different countries. You have daily contact with our colleagues around the world.
QUALIFICATIONS
We look for a designer/test & certificate engineer with a passion for technology. You feel good in a high pace environment, and you are flexible, driven, positive towards changes and customer-oriented as well as creative. You also have a strong will when it comes to solving problems and responding to questions that may occur.
You should have technical experience and good skills in 3D-CAD. Roxtec uses AutoDesk Inventor and AutoCad as tools for development as well as PLM systems for handling drawings and documentation. Your background probably includes a university degree in mechanical engineering and at least a couple of years of work experience. Experience in electrical design and/or piping systems for the marine & offshore market is a merit.
Work tasks are often performed in close cooperation with others, which means that your professionalism is in focus. It is therefore necessary that you enjoy team work, that you are an able team worker and that you communicate and cooperate with ease. As a person, you are energetic and exact.
Since we are an international enterprise with subsidiaries around the world, it is also important that you have the ability to understand and enjoy working with different cultures. You master spoken as well as written Swedish and English. Other language skills are a merit.
Speed, simplicity and flexibility are keywords for us at Roxtec and they should feel natural also for you.
The position is located at the headquarters in Karlskrona. Travel is included in the role.
