The Propulsion System unit at CEVT is responsible for the development of transmissions and electric propulsion systems as well as the controls associated with these systems. The transmission team is responsible for the development of new global transmissions from the early concept phase to industrialization. Our transmissions will be the main technology for the Geely group. The development is carried out by several parties inside Geely group as well as by external contractors.
You will be responsible for the design from concept decision through releases, testing and industrialization of the solution. You will be part of the Torque Transfer Team and report to the Transmission Module Team Director. To be successful in this role you will need experience from gear design in automotive applications and be familiar with requirements and processes used. You will play an important role in the tooling design and support manufacturing with problem solving. You understand and have some experience with gear machining processes like hobbing, heat treatment, grinding, honing, shot peening etc.

Responsibilities and tasks
Analyze and apply customer load collective to gear and shaft requirements
Dimensioning of gears to meet customer load collective
Optimize gear design to meet durability and NVH requirements
Develop calculation methods for gears and shafts
Support testing team with duty cycles, test procedures and analysis of test results
Analyze of part measurement, supplier and manufacturing deviation requests
Support project team and suppliers
Work with prototype suppliers to succeed with good quality
Experience from concept development and hybrid transmission layouts
Requirements
BSc. or MSc within relevant area
5 years of experience in gear design in the field of transmission developments
Experienced with gear design tools preferably like LDP
Some knowledge in other programs like Masta, KissSoft, KISSsys or Romax is a merit
Experience of working in PLM systems
Fluent in English
Personal qualifications
Ability to lead part development in a changing environment
Ability to develop and apply solutions to complex problems
Creative, curious and open-minded
