GTO Produce & Maintain is part of CPA Manufacturing within Group Digital & IT. We are key enablers of the Volvo Group transformation journey and maintain the complete life cycle for Core business critical applications for the Volvo Group. GTO Produce & Maintain consists of about 90 people working full time with analysis, development, test and solution design for more than 40 applications used close to the shopfloor to produce trucks for the Volvo Group.
This is how you could make an impact
We are now looking for a colleague to join the GTO Produce & Maintain management team in the position as Delivery Manager for the Manufacturing Execution portfolio with 7 applications and a SCRUM team consisting of 10 direct reports. Your role is to develop people, work with life-cycle management and secure deliveries of some of the most critical shopfloor applications used globally within the Volvo Group like ECS.AAS (Digital work instructions for operators), ATLS (Automatic Triggering & Line Steering), ECS.CTRL (Station flow preparation, reject handling, etc.) and more. All employees and consultants in your department are in Skövde and they have of diverse competencies required for a professional IT Delivery like Solution Leader, SCRUM Master, Software Engineers, Solution Engineers, etc. The tech stack for most applications are C# .NET and SQL server.
As a Delivery Manager you are leading the Manufacturing Execution development team with production critical software used for truck production in more than 10 Volvo Group plants. You are an experienced manager and leader with a technical background and are well versed in areas of Agile development and product management. You like to interact with stakeholders and join dialogues in subjects like digitalization, quality in runtime, people development and Agile software development.

Setting the strategy and roadmap for your delivery in close collaboration with Business Sub-Portfolio Managers, Solution Leaders and Line Management
Developing an effective and happy team
People management - Talent retention and recruitment
Stakeholder management with different D&IT Directors and Project Managers
Secure products quality aligned with compliance, budget and SLA
Foster an open, honest, and collaborative mindset within the team and other stakeholders
Who are you?
We believe you want to take your career to the next level, working with people around the world and the local development team in Skövde. To be successful in this position we believe you have a university degree or equivalent, previous management experience and a few years of experience working with manufacturing software or processes.
In your previous roles, you have delivered value as a part of software development or runtime for business-critical applications, and you understand the latest development in software development and Agile processes. Furthermore, it is beneficial if you have been working with product or solution management. In addition to this, you are a passionate believer in continuous learning and see the value of open and honest communication.
Required competencies:
Min. 2 years of experience as a Manager within IT or Solution Management (Product Owner, Solution Leader, Delivery Leader, ...)
Good knowledge of manufacturing processes or software in general
Experience in working with or building an Agile teams
Highly developed interpersonal skills: communication, cooperation and stakeholder management
Strong organization skills, high level of accuracy, sense of urgency and attention to quality
Innovative mindset and problem-solving attitude
Willing to work at least 3 days a week from the office in Skövde
Fluency in English and Swedish
