We are now looking for a DC System Engineer who will be playing an important role in our development team. In this role, you will get the opportunity to work in a creative environment to develop our DC grid concept with which we integrate EV charging, energy storage, and solar power.
About the Role
As a DC Systems Engineer, you will work with a broad range of areas concerning our DC grid development. You will:
• Contribute to the design, specification and installation of our LVDC grids.
• Contribute to DC grid architecture, compliance and electrical safety research.
• Maintain and contribute to simulation models of our DC grid control to improve regulation speed, resilience and system stability.
• Complement simulations with physical measurements and experiments in
laboratory environments as well as in real-world installations.
• Support pilot applications of new/developed technologies in DC grid management, optimisation and control.
• Design and specify functionality, performance metrics, limitations and boundaries of our products and solutions.
About You
• You're super-passionate about renewable energy and technology.
• You are a meticulous problem solver, driven by development, and curious to learn more.
• You make pragmatic scoping decisions and can explain why the team is doing something a certain way.
• You like the community in a team and value working together to reach a common goal.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with preferred 4-5 years of experience.
• Experience in technical areas concerning LVDC such as DC voltage control, DC protection and algorithms etc.
• Experience with power system analysis and energy management techniques in the context of local residential and commercial buildings.
• Experience in both simulation and hardware/lab environments.
• Knowledge of Python, Unix and Unix shell scripting.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Bonus qualifications
• Knowledge of Control Theory.
• Experience in Embedded SW programming.
• Familiar with Matlab/Simulink
• Understanding of electrical standards/grid codes.
• Experience with motor/converter control system design and implementation.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking systems (e.g., JIRA).
Our main office is located in Spånga, Stockholm and will move to a new office in Sundbyberg later this year. In addition, we have a smaller office located in Linköping and we offer the possibility of a hybrid workspace.
