Our mission is to work closely with our internal stakeholders to enable new business opportunities as well as optimizing investments and operations based on big data insights. One focus area is to accelerate data self-service. This means providing easy accessible and understandable data with good quality to our stakeholders. In order to take this ownership we need to strengthen the team with a talented functional Data Steward to our common analytics team in Solna.
Your next challenge?
As a Data Steward, being our knowledge hub for data, you have a key role in the team by helping both stakeholders and other members in our common analytics team within the data domain. You will be accountable, in collaboration with Analytics CoE and Telia Central Governance Organization, for our overall data strategy by managing our data assets, business glossary, data quality & data access to support best in class data self-service.
Responsibilities & Tasks:
Accountability for the information exposed related to data in our common analytics eco-system
Securing our target tools and processes has been followed when releasing a new analytical product
Data privacy compliance as per GDPR regulations
Data quality process and principles are followed
Data lineage is available and kept up to date
Well-documented and continuously maintained product guides
Necessary information is provided into Data Catalog and Business glossary for all the entities, attributes, KPIs and Metrics available in the product
Participating in solution design discussions and understanding the source, reliability and quality of the data being onboarded
Contributing in our Analytics Center of Excellence to innovate and enhance data governance area within Analytics with initial focus on data catalog, data linage and data quality
You will be part of a highly skilled and passionate team focused on delivering actionable insights for different lines of business across our 6 countries where we operate. We are working in agile cross-functional DevOps teams tightly integrated with our stakeholders. Our team consists of data engineers, data analysts, data scientists, solution architects and product owners. Right now, we focus on personalizing our TV and Media products, data-driven mobile network investments and enhancing our Crowd Insights product, but we are continuously exploring new areas. Your contribution will be central, and you will have a great opportunity to influence the work that the team is doing. Who are you?
You are a team player who want to constantly learn and you're not afraid to challenge how things are done today. You have a proven track-record from working in data domains with clear understanding of business use-cases, a good understanding of how analytical products help business and strongly believe in the importance of data driven organization. To be successful in this role, you need to quickly grasp the domain knowledge which means background from the Telco industry is beneficial.

Your Experience:
Previously worked 3-5 years in the BI & Analytics domain as Data Analyst, Data Steward or any other Data Governance specific role
Understanding of Data Governance principles
Very good knowledge in Big Data Analytics and/or Data Warehousing concepts
Good understanding of Data Modelling concept and excellent SQL skills
Experience working with various cataloging, data quality and lineage tools is a bonus
Experience from our industry, how we work, and our products is a bonus
