We at the Volvo Group are now looking for our future Data Protection Officer who will take the lead in continuing to develop and maintain our global data protection activities. And we believe you are the one to lead the way.

In May 2018 the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) enters into force. The Volvo Group work with the objective of making the Volvo Group comply with regulations relating to personal data globally.
Job summary
Your mission is built upon creating trust and building relations. You will work closely with management, legal teams, Group IT and a wide range of other functions in the Volvo Group to assure we work in a way that ensures individual and customer information security. Your role is to lead the Volvo Group efforts regarding personal data legislations.
You will lead a global network of data protection representatives covering our Truck Divisions and Business Areas as well as our key jurisdictions. You will
• Drive the continued implementation and development of the Volvo Group Data Privacy Compliance Programme, including guidelines, training and other supporting materials
• Monitor compliance with the GDPR and other data protection laws
• Be the contact point for the Data Protection Supervisory Authority
• Establish mechanisms to receive and manage requests to exercise rights of the data subjects
• Carry out data protection-related audits
• Perform risk analysis of the processing operations carried out
• Establish procedures to:
• manage violations of data security, including assessing the risk to the rights and freedoms of the data subjects
• notify supervisory authorities and the data subjects
• Establish security measures that are suited to the risks and nature of the processing operations

Who are you?
We believe you have long and extensive experience of personal data and IT law related work in a global and complex organization or of working with global IT systems in a complex organization as well as having some knowledge and experience of data protection laws. You are used to working with and report to Senior Management and have experience of dealing with risk and risk mitigation. You also have formal leadership experience and the ability to work through others.
You are proactive, pragmatic, a team-player, have a proven ability of driving change and are recognized for your good judgement. And of course you have excellent English skills.
