We are now looking for a new employee to our office in Arendal, Gothenburg.
We Offer
We offer you the opportunity to take on a key position as Customs responsible within Damco. In this position you will make sure that Damco together with an external vendor upholds our commitment and fulfils all legal obligations related to customs and applying customs certificates.
In this position you will have a key impact on our internal operations and in the same time act as a link for external stakeholders which will give you the opportunity to develop and maintain a broad network of people and authorities. You will also have the opportunity to work independent and plan your own working day to a broad extent.
Key Responsibilities
As Customs responsible you will mainly be focusing on following responsibilities:
• Ensure Damco upholds our commitment and fulfils all legal obligations related to customs and applying customs certificates together with an external vendor.
• Be the internal point of contact for customs related issues and have daily contact with Tullverket.
• Ensure the cooperation with our external customs vendor is running smooth and follows a given standard.
• Apply for and maintain customs certificates in relation to our warehousing operations.
• Keep yourself up to date of customs related legislation.
• Educate and inform the staff of updates and news in the customs related area.
• Provide with expertise within customs to our employees and act as support to our sales department.
Depending on your previous experience, knowledge and interest the customs area will be combined with another area of responsibilities within our Warehousing or Freight Forwarding operations.
Who we are looking for
We believe the ideal candidate we are searching for have:
• Previous experience within customs and customs legislation is a demand.
• Good communication skills.
• A high proficiency in spoken and written Swedish and English.
• Previous experience in driving various projects and making sure things get done.
• The ability to handle a large workload without compromising the cooperation with customers, colleagues and other stakeholders.
• The will and capacity to take responsibility and deliver on set targets with Damco?s development in focus.
• A structured mind-set and a good sense of details in the work you deliver.
• The ability to be creative and that you are adaptable to change.
A University degree within logistics, economics or similar educational background is an advantage.
