We are now recruiting a Customs Manager who will lead and further develop our customs department and our customs service offering. Your role

As Customs Manager you are responsible for the daily operations at the customs department. The department consists of 15 employees, working as Customs Clearances and Customs Specialists, supporting the business internally as well as our customers. In your role you are overall responsible for the customs product and services.

You will get the opportunity to drive and develop the business forward and be part of the establishment of GEODIS' customs network worldwide. You will be placed at our head office in central Gothenburg and report directly to the Business Support Director.

Your key accountabilities will be:

• Full staff responsibility for 15 direct staff

• Motivate, inspire, develop and engage your team

• Manage employee development and Performance Management according to company policies

• Implement and align company processes, policies and routines

• Manage financial business results and KPIs

• Profit and loss responsibility

• Overall responsible for the development of customs routines

• Manage the department according to government- and customer requirements

• Responsible for GEODIS' AEO-C certification and other customs related authorizations

• Customer care responsibility

• Participate in customer meetings and support with your expertise

• Cooperate with internal stakeholders and make sure our customers get information about customs opportunities and services

• Be an internal expert of advanced customs routines and educate managers and employees if necessary

Your background & competencies

To succeed in this role you have a post-secondary school degree or equivalent work experience. We believe that you have extensive experience in customs and minimum 10 years' experience of working with customs.

We are looking for a leader who acts as an ambassador, with passion for developing and motivating others. To succeed in this role you have a couple of years' leadership experience with staff responsibility. At GEODIS, we are aiming for a leadership that promotes the spirit of Investors in People.

Other requirements:

• Experience of working in an international environment

• Change management experience

• In a professional way manage and establish good customer relations

• High communication skills on all levels, both written and spoken, in English and Swedish
